John and his wife Bubbles met when they both worked together in the police force. They married in 1970 and have remained as close as the day they met.

John spent 30 years in the police force and during that time looked after members of the royal family, foreign heads of states and no less that four prime ministers.

John has been an avid listener of jazz and swing music although he is a classically trained musician. He has been fortunate enough to meet the likes of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson, Ella Fitzgerald.....the list goes on and on!

John presents a one hour weekly Jazz and Swing Radio Show on Havant Community Radio.
