Peter Oakley

Peter is a motorcycle fanatic. From a child he dreamed of riding a motorcycle and he even ran his own motorcycle dealership. During the second world war Peter was a radar mechanic.

Peter became the attention of the worlds media after becoming ‘the grandad’ of youtube. His regular video blogs under the pseudonym ‘Geriatric1927’ brought worldwide media attention and a huge number of fans.

Although still on youtube, the zimmers is peter’s first love and he sings the track ‘Old and Wise’ on the forthcoming album. He can also be found on his own website www.askgeriatric.com

Peter says “It’s important to demonstrate to the world that we still have energy and ability...that we are not stereotyped...that’s why I’m in the zimmers!”

Peter has two children and two grandchildren.
