Meet "The Zimmers" - a rock band of 40 OAP’s with more aggression than Nirvana and more style than The Who. Meet 99-year-old Winifred who is fed up in care homes, Joan who hasn't left her tower block for three years, and lead singer 90-year-old Alf whose beloved bingo hall is being shut down. These are angry old people!

The Zimmers get on board a top music producer who works with U2, blag their way into the famous Abbey Road Studios and record an extraordinary version of The Who's "My Generation". The sentiment behind Alf signing "I hope I die before I get old" is something else. The band, being followed by documentary filmmaker Tim Samuels, exposes the disgraceful way we treat our old people in this country - and challenges a whole host of preconceptions about the elderly by taking them on a true rock'n'roll journey.

All profits go to Age Related Charities.
